In defence of Pachamama

by Andrea Pizzini and Mauro Podini

A journey into Latin America’s poorest country on the Caravan of Peace and to the origin of the Bolivian riots between the Cocaleros of Chapare and the protagonists of the so-called “water wars” of Cochabamba.
A film just as current today as it was when it was made. Pachamama focuses on the democracy of the resources, earth and water as common assets worth defending.
The film was broadcast in more than 80 Italian cities to address the theme of “water wars” and 8000 copies were made for distribution in CARTA magazine.
The film was featured in the Eco Vision Film Festival in Palermo.
